We all get a tattoo that we like or something that is linked to our life in one or other way. All tattoos have a meaning that is linked with the person’s life. You may have seen people with semicolon tattoos and wondered what does that mean. Actually does it have a meaning ? Yes, there is. It is linked with courage and inspiration to live even in very difficult situation.

After tragically losing her dad to suicide, Bluel needed to accomplish something to respect him and to bring issues to light for psychological well-being issues. In establishing Project Semicolon she has done both. The association and development are “devoted to showing seek and love after the individuals who are battling with despondency, suicide, habit and self-damage.” They urge individuals to draw or tattoo a semicolon onto their bodies as an indication of the force of yourself.

The semicolon is an imperative bit of symbol and is an real image for the individuals who are battling. As Amy says, “A semicolon is used when an author could’ve chosen to end their sentence, but chose not to. The author is you and the sentence is your life.”
